POP UP
an ongoing collaborative photographic series with Karl Wratschko (2025 - )
POP UP is a photographic series documenting temporary exhibitions in private and public spaces. Photographs are taken to different locations, installed, and photographed again. The resulting images capture everyday places as temporary exhibition spaces.
The series responds to the limited accessibility of institutional exhibition venues by deliberately relocating the presentation of art into everyday environments. Living rooms, hotel rooms, and windowsills become temporary galleries. Through this repeated process of displaying and re-photographing, the relationship between image, space, and context continuously shifts. POP UP questions who has access to spaces of visibility and proposes exhibition-making as a mobile practice that unfolds wherever images encounter people and places.
